To meditate is to be in the present moment, which is similar to the contemplative process of looking at art. In collaboration with Mindful Heart Programs, MCASB is offering weekly seated meditation sessions in the galleries. Guided by Radhule Weininger, MD, PhD, focus on your breath and become aware of your body, emotions, thoughts, and the nature of the mind itself. In return, mindful awareness may lead to a new personal approach to experiencing art.
No experience necessary and open to everyone. Chairs and meditation cushions provided.
Dress appropriately for a climate controlled gallery environment.
