Join us and artists Jen V. Benitez on Thursday March 5th, for a 90-minute guided experience blending meditation and watercolor. We’ll begin with a grounding practice to soften the mind and open the senses, then explore painting shells — studying their anatomy, layers, and quiet symbolism through watercolor.
This offering invites you into presence, play, and gentle creative flow. No experience needed — just come as you are.
Jen V. Benitez is a California-born Ilocana-American artist raised on Chumash land in Oxnard, CA, now based in Camarillo. She is a multidisciplinary artist, creative entrepreneur, sound practitioner, meditation facilitator, and founder of PINAYSPHERE (pin-eye), a nonprofit uplifting Filipina-American youth artists.
After years of focusing on building PINAYSPHERE and deepening her healing journey, Jen is returning to her personal art practice — stepping back into play, painting, and jewelry design. She especially loves working in watercolor and acrylic, studying the anatomy and layered beauty of shells as both subject and metaphor.
Jen curates monthly exhibitions with the VC Arts Council and County of Ventura, offers weekly meditations on the TRUE VOICE app, and holds 1:1 energy healing sessions in her Camarillo garden. Her work is rooted in empowering marginalized voices, beginning with her Filipino heritage.
